“Ms Marvel” Disney+ Series Reported To Undergo Reshoots
There are three Marvel Studio series heading to Disney+ in 2022, “Moon Knight”, “She-Hulk”, and “Ms Marvel”. While we don’t know precisely when any of these series will arrive on Disney+, it was revealed that “Ms Marvel” would be coming later this summer.
This news caught many Marvel fans attention, because “Ms Marvel” was initially due to arrive on Disney+ in late 2021.
“Ms Marvel” will introduce Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, who is an Inhuman with stretchy powers, though it’s expected that her abilities and origin may be changed for the upcoming series. Ms Marvel will also be a central character in the forthcoming film, “The Marvels”, which will arrive in cinemas on 17th February 2023 and also feature Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau (who was introduced in “WandaVision”).
Filming on the “Ms Marvel” series wrapped in May last year, with some filming taking place in 2020, as Disney showcased some footage at the Investor Day event in 2020, and more footage was shown during last November’s Disney+ Day.
Recently, a tweet from Atlanta Filming, revealed that “Ms. Marvel” will hold reshoots in Georgia, Atlanta, US. This might explain why the series has been held back a little longer.
It’s unclear why reshoots are happening, but it is common for Marvel Studios to do reshoots and usually also schedule this in advance, as they know it’ll be happening. With at least half a year until the series could arrive on Disney+ at the earliest, there is plenty of time to fix any issues that have come to light following initial filming finishing.
Are you looking forward to “Ms Marvel” being released later this year?
