On Friday, 3rd November 2023, for the first time ever, Disney+ will be broadcasting this year’s “Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame” Induction Ceremony in the United States.  The event will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and will see Kate Bush, Rage Against The Machine, the late George Michael, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and the Spinners, inducted.

There will also be awards given out during the event, including the Musical Excellence Award being presented to Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, and Bernie Taupin.  With DJ Kool Herc and Link Wray receiving the Musical Influence Award, and Soul Train host the late Don Cornelius will be receiving the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Today, it has been announced that the event will feature some new special guests, including Stevie Nicks, Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood, Common, Ice-T, LL Cool J, Miguel, Queen Latifah, and Sia.   They’ll join the previously announced lineup featuring Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews, H.E.R., New Edition, St. Vincent, and more, including many of this year’s inductees are expected to be attending the event.

When the event was announced, Rob Mills, executive VP of unscripted and alternative entertainment for Walt Disney Television, said:

“We are so excited to offer audiences a front-row seat when they tune in to Disney+ and ABC.”

In addition to the show airing live on Disney+, a delayed and condensed three-hour version will be released on ABC on New Year’s Day at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

This is the latest musical special to be released on Disney+ following last year’s Elton John concert, in addition to musical specials by Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Billie Elish, Olivia Rodrigo and Bono & Edge.
