More Cast Revealed For FX’s “Cry Wolf”
Disney’s FX Productions is currently developing a brand new series called “Cry Wolf”, which is inspired by the Danish series “Ulven Kommer” by Maja Jul Larsen.
This new psychological family thriller follows a social worker and a mother thrust into crisis when the mother’s teenage daughter alleges abuse, pushing both women to their limits as they navigate an impossible situation.
It stars Olivia Colman, Brie Larson, Shawn Hatosy, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Jack Greig, and William Jackson Harper.
Deadline has also revealed that Dane DeHaan (American Primaeval, Neuromancer), Atticus Mitchell (Fargo, Star Trek), Ayo Solanke (Bet, Clown in a Cornfield), and Elizabeth Perkins (Big, A Simple Favour) have joined the cast.
Dane DeHaan plays April’s husband and Mia’s stepfather, who is at the centre of the girl’s abuse allegations. While Atticus Mitchell will be playing the role of Nick, who is rough around the edges with a good heart. After a difficult childhood raised by his single mother, Kath, Nick fell into severe alcoholism but has now been sober for 11 months. Determined to rebuild his life, he’s trying to reconnect with his son, Elliot, after years of being unable to handle the responsibilities of fatherhood. Now that he’s sober, Nick is doing everything he can to prove himself to Kath and regain custody of Elliot- but she refuses to believe he’s truly changed.
The show is created by Sarah Treem, who will be an executive producer along with Olivia Colman and Brie Larson. Other executive producers include Kim Todd, Rodrigo Garcia, Melissa Bernstein, Ed Sinclair, Alena Smith, Maja Jul Larsen, Christian Rank and Claudia Saganario.
No other details on this FX series have been revealed, such as when we can expect to see it released, likely on both the linear FX channel and on Disney’s streaming services, Hulu and Disney+.
