Last year, Disney released a brand new original special on Disney+ around the world called “Miley Cyrus – Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)”, which was released alongside her 8th studio album, “Endless Summer Vacation”.

Unfortunately, exactly one year later, “Miley Cyrus – Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)” has been removed from Disney+ globally.

The original special saw Miley perform many of her well-known songs, including her hit single “Flowers,” seven additional tracks from the album, one of her chart-topping classic hits, and a special performance with Rufus Wainwright. It also included a performance of one of her classic songs from her Disney Channel era, “The Climb.”

This special also featured exclusive interviews in the famed Los Angeles house where Frank Sinatra once lived and where Miley shot the celebrated official music video for “Flowers.”

Unlike other streaming services, Disney+ doesn’t inform subscribers in advance that titles are going to be removed, so it’s never clear exactly what is and isn’t going to be removed until it’s gone.

Over the years, we’ve seen many music specials leave Disney+ and Hulu after a limited period since they often have a much shorter license and are much more regularly removed. In recent years, we’ve seen this with many holiday specials and concerts removed by Disney, never to return.

It’s unlikely that “Miley Cyrus – Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)”, will be made available on Disney+ again, as this would require a brand new license and music specials often only have a limited period of being trendy.

The good news is that the album is still available to stream on digital platforms like Spotify, Amazon, and Apple.
