Disney has announced that the Marvel film, “X2: X-Men United” will be returning to Disney+ in the United States on Friday 9th February 2024, after previously being available on Starz since April last year.

The film is a follow-up to the first X-Men film and tells the story of what happens after a shocking attack on the President of the United States; the X-Men must stand united with their deadliest enemies to combat a menace that threatens every mutant on the planet — and possibly all of mankind.

“X2” stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen, James Marsden and Halle Berry. It was directed by Bryan Singer and produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter.

Due to licensing agreements made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, we’ve seen many films come and go from Disney+ over the past four years, and it’s unclear if this will be the final time that “X2” will be added to Disney+ or if it will once again be removed in the future. While the film was removed from Disney+ in the United States for almost a year, it’s still been available on Disney+ in most other countries.
