Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” Disney+ Release Date Announced

Disney has announced that the latest Marvel Studios film, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, will be coming to Disney+ in time for Thanksgiving.

Set against the backdrop of a ’60s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel’s First Family faces a daunting challenge. Forced to balance being heroes with their family bond, they must defend Earth from a space god and his enigmatic herald.

Starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Marvel’s First Family, the latest adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe follows Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing) as they journey across the cosmos, and discover the heart, humor, and family bonds that make them truly fantastic.

The announcement was made live from SpaceCon 2025 in San Antonio, where The Fantastic Four: First Steps Immersive Pop-Up Experience invites attendees to step inside the iconic Baxter Building. The fan event features recreated film sets and an interactive digital photo op that transports guests into the Fantastic Four universe. Following its successful debut at New York Comic Con this month, the experience offers fans of all ages a rare chance to step inside the team’s iconic living room and explore the film’s retro-futuristic aesthetic up close.

Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be the latest film available in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, featuring IMAX’s exclusive expanded aspect ratio for all Disney+ subscribers, ensuring that the filmmakers’ creative intent is fully preserved for a more immersive viewing experience at home. Subscribers with certified TVs and AV receivers can also experience IMAX Enhanced sound powered by DTS:X, featuring the full dynamic range of the original cinematic mix.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be released on Disney+ around the world on November 5th 2025,

The movie was originally released in cinemas at the end of July and was released on digital platforms recently, but with the Disney+ release date confirmed, it continues the trend of Disney waiting over one hundred days before releasing its major movies on streaming after a theatrical release.

Roger’s Take:  Without doubt, I think this is going to be one of the most-watched films on Disney+ over the holiday period and getting it out a few weeks before Thanksgiving, also gives space for some of Disney’s other big summer releases to arrive on the platform.  I really enjoyed watching this movie in cinemas earlier this year and will be checking it out once again when it hits Disney+ in November.
