Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming animated Marvel film, “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse”, which is a sequel to the megahit, “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse”.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The new film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson. It features a screenplay by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, and David Callaham

“Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” is coming out in cinemas on June 2nd 2023. Disney also has a pay-two contract with Sony Pictures, so this film could be heading to Disney+ and/or Hulu in 2025, after its theatrical release and a first pay-one run on Netflix. Internationally, the film could arrive on Disney+ in a few years, to join the original film, which is available on Disney+ in many countries around the world, due to a licensing contract between Disney/Sony for Spider-Man films.
