Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” Series To Get A Primetime Disney+ Release
This past weekend, Disney hosted a “Daredevil” panel at the New York Comic Con and during that panel, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who play Daredevil and Kingpin in the upcoming Marvel Studios series, “Daredevil: Born Again” took to the stage to show a teaser trailer to those in attendance.
After the panel, the stars stopped by the Marvel Booth on the Javits show floor to talk with the fans assembled for Marvel’s Cosplay Competition.
In Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavours in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
During the panel, it was also confirmed that the upcoming “Daredevil: Born Again” would premiere on Disney+ on Tuesday 4th March 2025.
Shortly after that initial announcement, Disney confirmed that the series will be released in the United Kingdom a day later on March 5th 2025, which confirms that “Daredevil: Born Again” will follow a similar trend to other major Disney+ releases like “Agatha All Along”, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians”, “Doctor Who”, and “The Acolyte”, in getting a US Primetime release.
This means it’s likely that “Daredevil: Born Again” will premiere at the same time as other major releases, 6 pm PT/9 pm ET, to get as much attention as possible. Due to how timezones work, this will mean the new episodes drop early in the morning UK time, hence technically being the following day.
The upcoming series also stars Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, with Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal.
Dario Scardapane is showrunner on “Daredevil: Born Again”. Episodes are directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd; and executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Dario Scardapane, Christopher Ord & Matthew Corman, and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead.
While we wait for “Daredevil: Born Again”, you can find the previous series that previously was released on Netflix on Disney+. Plus, you can find Daredevil and Kingpin making cameos in the “Echo”, “Hawkeye”, and “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law”.
Roger’s Take: It shouldn’t come as a major surprise to see “Daredevil: Born Again” getting the primetime release, since it results in a bigger social media presence as the US fans can all talk about the show after it premieres. And for those of us outside the US, it just means we need to avoid social media and watch new episodes before school or work!
