Following on from the success of the Disney+ Original series, “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”, which told the story of how Falcon, aka Sam Wilson, became the new Captain America, it was revealed that a new Captain America film was in development.

Today, during a Marvel Studios presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, announced that Marvel Studios’ Captain America: New World Order will release in theaters on May 3rd, 2024.

The film will see Anthony Mackie return as Sam Wilson, aka the new Captain America.

Very little is known about the film, but it marks the importance of Disney+ series, as “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier” dealt with Sam’s journey to becoming the new Captain America.
