Marvel’s “Agatha All Along” First Reactions Revealed
This coming Wednesday night, Marvel Studios is releasing the first two episodes of the latest Disney+ original series, “Agatha All Along”, which tells the story of the infamous Agatha Harkness, who finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen who helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…
“Agatha All Along” stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, with Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer, who is also head writer. The directors for the series include Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Monteiro.
Many members of the press, including myself, have been given early access to the first four episodes of the series and have been allowed to share their initial reactions on social media.
Here is my “social” reaction to the new series:
#AgathaAllAlong hits #DisneyPlus on Sept 18. I’ve got to see the first 4 episodes & it’s a mixed bag. It’s very different, as it leans in on being a supernatural TV show. It’s corny it’s predictable, but I did enjoy these early episodes. It’s not going to be everyone’s cuppa tea!
Here are some other first reactions from the upcoming Marvel show:
The first 4 episodes of #AgathaAllAlong strikes a balance between having fun doing its own thing and using witchcraft & the occult as a vehicle to haunt. The needle drops are fitting, and the original songs are perfect for a Halloween playlist. Can’t wait to see the rest of it. pic.twitter.com/k78yZVFILH

#AgathaAllAlong starts slowly with the first two episodes, similar to Wandavision's start, but once the witches begin their journey on the witch's road, it begins to kick off.
It might not be as twisted as the marketing makes it out to be, but it's still creepy and eerie, with… pic.twitter.com/y7mKdLivvg

#AgathaAllAlong is a bit slow to start with, but you won’t care because you’re having so much fun with the cast and vibes that are just as camp and spooky as you’d hope for. This show really is for the gays. If anything, Marvel actually downplayed how gay it is in tone and feel. pic.twitter.com/f3XXitznbc

After four eps of #AgathaAllAlong, it's clear this #WandaVision spin-off keeps the mystery alive casting a new BEWITCHING spell. Kathryn Hahn is PERFECTION, embracing every wicked moment. The musical elements don’t just enhance—they ENCHANT. This is the MAGIC the #MCU needs. pic.twitter.com/ta9APo0ro4

Agatha All Along is a Marvel experiment for the ages.
Spooky, outrageous and surprisingly funny, it’s the MCU like you’ve never seen it before.
Kathryn Hahn is captivating, the practical sets are stunning, and the adventure out-of-this-world. Watch it!#AgathaAllAlong🔮 pic.twitter.com/tpJEN2NzZZ

The first 4 #AgathaAllAlong eps are a strong sequel to WANDAVISION as they have their own identity.
The songs are great. Kathryn Hahn & Aubrey Plaza's dynamic is electric. Debra Jo Rupp brings the laughs, but this is the scariest MCU project to date.
