Marvel Reportedly Developing More Halloween Themed Special Presentations For Disney+
This year, Marvel Studios introduced a brand new format, A Special Presentation, onto Disney+, which saw the release of “Guardians Of The Galaxy: Holiday Special” and “Werewolf By Night”.
These specials give Marvel Studios a way to tell stories that may not be big enough to warrant a theatrical film or a full Disney+ series.
And it looks like we will be seeing more Marvel Studios Special Presentations as, according to Twitter scooper Daniel Ritchman, two more untitled Halloween specials are reportedly in development for Disney+ at Marvel Studios.
It’s unknown what these Halloween specials will be, as there are many characters, such as Ghost Rider, Mephisto, Magik and Dracula, that could be introduced to the MCU. Could we see Man-Thing and Werewolf By Night return to our screens? And with so many stories from comic books available to be retold, Marvel has plenty of options to give us Disney+ subscribers new original content for the spooky season.
While Marvel announced the “Guardians Of The Galaxy: Holiday Special” years ago, Disney didn’t officially announce “Werewolf By Night” until just a few weeks before release, so it might be a while until we get confirmation about these new specials. Also, with the Special Presentations essentially being a longer single episode, it can be turned around much quicker than a film or series.
What Marvel character would you like to see given a Halloween-themed Marvel Special Presentation?
