20th Century Studios is currently in the middle of production of a brand new film called “Deliver Me from Nowhere”, which is an adaptation of Warren Zanes’ fascinating telling of the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album.

“Deliver Me from Nowhere” will star Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) as Bruce Springsteen, with Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice, Succession), Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird, Richard Jewell), Odessa Young (Mothering Sunday, The Staircase), Sir Stephen Graham (Young Woman and the Sea) and Johnny Cannizzaro (Quantum Leap).

Variety has reported that Marc Maron, Gaby Hoffmann and David Krumholtz have joined the cast of the upcoming movie.

Marc Maron will play Chuck Plotkin, the music producer who mastered Springsteen’s “Nebraska” album, turning his unprocessed cassette demos into a high-quality record.   He has previously starred “Glow,” “To Leslie” and “The Bad Guys.”

Gaby Hoffmann will portray Springsteen’s mother, Adele Springsteen, a singer in her own right who died at age 98 earlier this year.   She has previously starred in “Field of Dreams,” “Uncle Buck” and “Sleepless in Seattle”.

David Krumholtz will play Al Teller, a record label executive who oversaw the release of “Nebraska.”  He has previously starred in “Oppenheimer” and “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”.

The upcoming movie is set to be released in cinemas in 2025 and it has been written and directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Hostiles, Antlers, Black Mass).   Filming is currently underway at locations in New Jersey, New York and Los Angeles..

It will also be produced by Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Maze Runner trilogy, Juror #2) and Eric Robinson (Kodachrome, Last Days). Scott Stuber (Frankenstein, Ted, Safe House) also produces the movie. Tracey Landon (Maestro, Amsterdam), who recently worked with Cooper on The Pale Blue Eye, and Warren Zanes are executive producing.
