Disney has announced details on the home video release of the Searchlight Pictures movie, “Kinds of Kindness”, which is a triptych fable following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life, a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person, and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.

The new movie will be available to purchase on digital retailer platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home, on August 27th 2024 and on Blu-ray and DVD on October 8th 2024.

“Kinds Of Kindness” has been directed by the Oscar-nominated director of “Poor Things”, Yorgos Lanthimos, and it features a star-studded cast, led by Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons and Willem Dafoe.

Roger’s Take: Searchlight Pictures released “Kinds Of Kindness” in cinemas on June 21st, 2024, so it will have a 67-day theatrical release window, which is on par with most recent Searchlight Pictures releases. Disney hasn’t yet confirmed when “Kinds Of Kindness” will be released on Hulu and Disney+ since they want people to pre-order and buy the digital/physical release to make more money.  Based on previous home video releases, we should expect it between the digital and physical release, to try to encourage
