As part of Disney’s Entertainment Showcase panel at the D23: Ultimate Fan Event, some new details were revealed about the upcoming animated movie, “Zootopia 2”.

In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia 2,” detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.

It was revealed during the panel that Ke Huy Kwan will be playing the role of the new mysterious reptile. Ke has previously starred in the “Indiana Jones” movies and most recently in the second season of Marvel’s “Loki”. It was also revealed that Fortune Feimster will also be starring in the new film.

The upcoming movie is going to be directed and written by Oscar winner Jared Bush, who was a co-director/co-writer on “Zootopia” and “Encanto” Yvett Merino (Oscar-winning producer “Encanto”) produces.

The new movie is going to be released in November 2025. The first film, along with the spin-off short series, “Zootopia+” are available to stream on Disney+ now.
