Disney has revealed that the upcoming US Presidental debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will be available to Disney+ subscribers around the world.  It will also be available on YouTube for free.

Recently, Disney added ABC News Live onto Disney+ in the United States, but now everyone will be able to check out the first debate between the candidates, who are meeting for the very first time during this event.

In the United States, the debate will air on Tuesday, 10th September 2024, at 9pm EDT live on ABC and streams live on the 24/7 streaming network ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and simulcast on additional broadcast and streaming news networks.

“World News Tonight” anchor and managing editor David Muir and “World News Tonight” Sunday anchor and ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis will serve as moderators for this debate.

Roger’s Take: While there has been a lot of attention on this debate in the United States, it’s interesting that this live event will also stream on Disney+ globally.  There’s certainly going to be a lot of interest in this event, and I think making it available to as many people as possible is good, but also, more importantly, I think it’s great that more ABC News content is released globally.
