Julia Garner To Star In Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four”
This past Valentine’s Day, Marvel Studios revealed the cast for the upcoming movie, “The Fantastic Four”, which is going to be coming to cinemas on July 25th 2025.
The new film will see Pedro Pascal play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, and Vanessa Kirby play Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman. Also starring in the movie will be Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.
Deadline has revealed that Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, who is the wife of the Silver Surfer in the comic books. Shalla-Bal has also been a female version of the Silver Surfer in an alternative universe, which might play into the multiverse side of the current saga.
Julia has previously starred in Netflix’s “Inventing Anna”, “Ozark” and FX’s “The Americans”.
No plot details on the upcoming film have been revealed, which is expected to be set in the 1960s from the artwork released with the casting news.
Filming is due to begin later this summer and will be directed by Matt Shakman, who previously worked on Marvel’s “WandaVision”. The movie was written by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.
