Disney has announced that the new original Mexican series, “Jules Verne: Journey To The Center Of The Earth,” aka “Viaje al centro de la Tierra”, will be coming to Disney+ in the United States on March 29th 2023, which is the same day as when it arrives on Disney+ across Latin America.  All eight 30-minute episodes will be released at once.

Made entirely in Mexico by TIS (formerly Estudios TeleMéxico), and inspired by Jules Verne’s famous book of the same name, the new adventure and science fiction production follows a group of boys and girls on a journey through a parallel dimension, in which They discover a fascinating world. Journey to the Center of the Earth features a leading international cast — led by Spanish actor Óscar Jaenada (Pompilio Calderón), Colombian actress Margarita Rosa de Francisco (Pola), Mauricio “El Diablito” Barrientos (voice of Claudio), Argentine actor Gabriel Goity (Julio Verne) — along with a roster of talented young artists led by Mexican actors Sebastián García and Stevan Yankel.

In “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, Diego ( García ) is sent by his parents to Pompilio Calderón’s ( Jaenada ) camp . There, along with his brothers and friends, he finds his grandmother Pola’s ( Francisco’s ) abandoned car , and following his footsteps he arrives at a mysterious portal to another dimension. When Diego discovers a powerful family secret, he understands that he must protect the dimension he has found, but the mission is not that simple: Pompilio and his henchwoman Claudio (Mauricio ” El Diablito ” Barrientos ) . They will do everything possible to destroy this fantastic world that they have managed to enter. The cast of Journey to the Center of the Earth is completed by Manuel Márquez (P edro ) , Paola Miguel ( Ana ) , Valery Sais ( Laura ) , Camila Núñez ( Violet ) , Carla Adell ( Andrea ) , Emilio Treviño ( Felipe ) , Israel Capetillo ( Mauro ) , Camila Valero ( Evelyn ) , Luigi Cerrada ( Antonio ) , Luciana Tappan ( Raquel ) , Daniel Sáez ( Pote ) and Maximiliano Uribe ( Fermín ) .

With a spirit of adventure and exploration, and a great component of humour, the new series presents an exciting story that highlights the value of curiosity and the enthusiasm to go beyond the known. The plot highlights the value of family, identity and legacy, as well as the importance of caring for the environment, the power of teamwork and joining forces with friends and people who share interests.

Directed by José Manuel Craviotto , Journey to the Center of the Earth has an impressive scale of production, which includes the use of special effects in natural settings and recreated on green screen sets hand in hand with innovative technological resources. In addition, puppeteers and stuntmen participate, flying bicycles, physically and virtually built monsters, costumes and outstanding makeup appear.
