“Star Wars: The Mandalorian” is returning for its third season in March, which will continue the story through the Star Wars galax. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

With the third season, there will be a slight change with the music, with Joseph Shirley taking over the responsibility of scoring the series, having previously worked on the first two seasons of the show, providing additional music as part of Ludwig Göransson’s team.  Joseph has also worked on “The Mandalorian” spin-off series, “The Book Of Boba Fett” as the main composer, with Ludwig Göransson providing the main themes, which is likely to be the same for the third season of “The Mandalorian”.

Joseph has also previously worked on “The Mysterious Benedict Society” and “Bad Trip”, plus will be producing music for the upcoming “Creed III” and Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer”.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode Season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jon Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.

The first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” are available to stream now on Disney+, and the first episode of the third season will arrive on the streaming platform on Wednesday, 1st March 2023, with new episodes being released weekly.
