Jordan North & Sian Welby To Star In UK Version Of “Toy Story 5”

Over the years, we’ve seen Disney use local celebrities to provide voices for its animated films, which are often changed depending on the country where the movie is shown.  We’ve seen Jeremy Clarkson, Lewis Hamilton and Anne-Marie all appear in UK versions of classic Pixar films.

With just one month to go until the release of “Toy Story 5” in cinemas, Disney has announced that iconic radio, broadcast and TV personalities Jordan North and Sian Welby will join the voice cast in the fifth instalment of the “Toy Story” franchise.

Jordan North and Sian Welby’s respective characters, ‘Garden Gnome’ and ‘Inflatable Flamingo’, will join Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the gang as they face their newest challenge: Toy meets Tech.

Speaking on her role in the upcoming Disney and Pixar release, Sian Welby said in a statement regarding her role:

The characters and world of Toy Story have formed such an iconic part of so many people’s childhoods, including mine, so being part of the journey has been a dream come true!”

Jordan North shared a similar sentiment, saying,

“Being part of Toy Story 5 is a pinch‑me moment. I grew up loving these films, so getting to join the gang is pretty surreal and special.”

In the new film, the toys are back, and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?

“Toy Story 5” is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, produced by Lindsey Collins,  and written by Stanton and Harris. The film features an original score by Oscar-winning Randy Newman, who returns to score his fifth Toy Story feature.

“Toy Story 5” is coming to cinemas on June 19th 2026, and we should expect to see it released on Disney+later this year.  The previous “Toy Story” movies are also available to stream on Disney+.
