Earlier this year, there were rumours circulating online that Lucasfilm was developing a new series for Disney+, which was going by the working title, “Grammar Rodeo”, which is a reference to an episode of “The Simpsons” involving Bart Simpson stealing a car and running away.

According to Vanity Fair, Jon Watts is going to be involved in creating a new Star Wars series and the project is “Grammar Rodeo”.

Jon Watts has previously directed the three latest “Spider-Man” films and also recently, stepped away from directing Marvel’s “Fantastic Four”.

It’s unknown what the plot of this new Disney+ Star Wars series but “The show takes place during the post–’Return of the Jedi’ reconstruction that follows the fall of the Empire, the same as ‘The Mandalorian”.

This new project is being written by Chris Ford and recently a casting notice has called for four children, around 11 to 12 years old. Inside Lucasfilm, the show is being described as a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.”

Hopefully, more details are officially announced at “Star Wars Celebration”, which takes place later this year.
