Jessica Capshaw To Star In “9-1-1: Nashville”
20th Television is developing a new “9-1-1” spin-off series for ABC called “9-1-1: Nashville.”
The new series has already been given a straight-to-series order, and it will be created by franchise’s co-creators Ryan Murphy & Tim Minear, along with Rashad Raisani, who was the showrunner of “9-1-1: Lone Star”, which was recently cancelled after five seasons after FOX decided not to renew the show.
The upcoming series will also be executive produced by Brad Falchuk, who is a co-creator of the first two “9-1-1” series and “9-1-1” star Angela Bassett.
Chris O’Donnell is going to be playing the role of ‘Captain Don Sharpe,’ who is a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse with his beloved son. Don’s a devoted husband and family man, but he has his secrets.
It’s been revealed that Jessica Capshaw has joined the cast and she will be playing the mother of the as-yet-uncast series lead character Ryan and wife of Captain Don Sharpe.
Jessica has previously starred in the hit ABC/20th shows, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Tell Me Lies”. She has also starred in “Holidate”, “Minority Report” and “Dear Zoe”.
“9-1-1: Nashville” is currently scheduled to arrive during the 2025/26 season on ABC, along with Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States. I’d expect this show to also be released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
