One of the biggest hits for Hulu and Disney+ has been FX’s “The Bear”, which is about food, family and the insanity of the grind. It’s a losing battle every day in the restaurant business, and as Carmy pushes himself harder than ever and demands excellence from his crew, they do their best to match his intensity. Their quest for culinary excellence propels them to new levels and stresses the bonds that hold the restaurant together.

The series stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.  The half-hour series also stars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles.

The third season was released on Hulu and Disney+ earlier this summer. Originally, FX had planned on filming the third and fourth seasons back to back since the show’s stars are becoming increasingly difficult to schedule.

However, while some of the fourth season was filmed earlier this year, not everything was finished. In an interview with Esquire UK, Jeremy Allen White provided an update on when filming is due to start on season four.

I’m not sure exactly when. I know it’s not going to be until next year. I imagine sometime early next year, a similar start date to the last couple of years: February/March time.

With filming starting early in the year, based on the schedule we saw with the third season, we should hopefully see the fourth, and possibly final, season arrive on Hulu and Disney+ in the summer of 2025.

Roger’s Take:  With some of the negative feedback from the third season, hopefully, the writers can make some adjustments to tweak the series to be better.  I also have a feeling that this show is likely going to be the final season, as FX has wrapped up many shows in a similar fashion; plus, with the actors now appearing in many other upcoming movies, their rates are going to be skyrocketing.

You can watch the first three seasons of “The Bear” on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
