This March, Warner Brothers Discovery is releasing the next instalment in the “Dune” franchise, “Dune 2”, which will arrive in cinemas on March 1st 2024.

The brand new film is based on Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune and is the next chapter in the story, which explores the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavours to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

The big-screen epic features many returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Wonka,” “Call Me by Your Name”), Zendaya (“Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Malcolm & Marie,” “Euphoria”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning”), Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Avengers: End Game,” “Milk”), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (“Elvis,” “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood”), Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (“Black Widow,” “Little Women”), Dave Bautista (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Thor: Love and Thunder”), Oscar winner Christopher Walken (“The Deer Hunter,” “Hairspray”), Léa Seydoux (the “James Bond” franchise and “Crimes of the Future”), Souheila Yacoub (“The Braves,” “Climax”), with Stellan Skarsgård (the “Mamma Mia!” films, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Assassin’s Creed”), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”).

“Dune: Part Two” is directed by Denis Villeneuve and based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.=

When Is “Dune 2” Coming To Disney+?

Since this brand new film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, “Wonka” won’t be available on Disney+ after its theatrical release.

Instead, the film will be released on Warner Brother Discovery’s own streaming service, Max, in the United States and on various streaming platforms internationally, including Sky Cinema in the UK.

However, in the United States, Warner Brothers Discovery does currently have a deal in place to license some of its films onto Hulu, some of which are also available via Hulu On Disney+. The first “Dune” film is also going to be available on Hulu on March 1st 2024. So technically, if that deal is still in place in the future, “Dune 2” could eventually end up on Hulu and Disney+ in the US, but it would be years away.
