Hulu Orders “Don’t Get High” Pilot
20th Television is developing a new pilot for Hulu, which is currently going by the name of “Don’t Get High”, which is a new comedy from Megan Ganz, who previously co-created the Apple TV+ series, “Mythic Quest” and the spin-off series, “Side Quest”.
The new series is about an alpha dork and her merry gang of dweebs start an anti-drug group at their high school to make friends and influence people. It doesn’t go well.
Megan Ganz is the writer, executive producer and showrunner on the pilot. She has also previously worked on a number of comedies including “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “The Last Man on Earth,” “Modern Family,” “Community,” and “Important Things with Demitri Martin.” Adam Fishbach and Mara Herron are also executive producing the project.
No other details on this new project have been revealed by Variety, such as who might star in it or who will direct it.
As with all pilots, it doesn’t automatically mean it will be ordered to a series and released on Hulu (and Disney+ internationally). Pilots often can see tweaks before being made into a series, such as who is starring in it, characters, plots and much more. Hopefully, we get an update on this pilot in the future.
