This summer, the latest Star Wars original series, “Ahsoka”, arrives on Disney+, and after years of having Ahsoka feature in the animated series, “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels”, she finally gets her own series to shine.

“Star Wars: Ahsoka” is set after the fall of the Empire and follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.


Who Stars In “Ahsoka”

The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, along with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.


Who Created “Ahsoka”

The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is the co-executive producer.


How To Watch “Ahsoka”

The brand-new series from Lucasfilm will be released exclusively on Disney+ around the world. So it won’t be available on other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Max.

When Will New “Star Wars: Ahsoka” Episodes Be Released On Disney+?

Disney is releasing new episodes of “Ahsoka” at a different time than most Disney+ Originals to allow subscribers in the US to watch the show in the evenings.  So that depending on what country you’re in, the show will be available on a different day.

Here’s a list of when each of the new episodes will be released:

  • Episode 2 – Tuesday 22nd (Americas)/Wednesday 23rd August 2023 (Europe/Asia/Pacific)
  • Episode 3 – Tuesday 29th (Americas)/Wednesday 30th August 2023 (Europe/Asia/Pacific)
  • Episode 4 –Tuesday 5th (Americas)/ Wednesday 6th September 2023 (Europe/Asia/Pacific)

What Time Will New Episodes Of “Star Wars: Ahsoka” Be Released On Disney+

For the first time, Disney is releasing a new major series at an earlier time than normal, making it available to viewers in the US in the evening, so it will be available much earlier in other countries around the world.

Disney+ updates on Tuesday/Wednesday at the following times:

  • Pacific Time: 06:00 PM Tuesday
  • Eastern Time: 09:00 PM Tuesday
  • UK: 02:00 AM  Wednesday
  • Sydney, Australia – 11:00 AM Wednesday

Sometimes episodes can arrive a few minutes later as the servers update. The Disney+ front page usually updates about an hour later.


Can You Stream “Ahsoka” For Free?

You will need a Disney+ subscription to watch “Ahsoka”, and unfortunately, Disney+ doesn’t offer a free trial.  But if you do sign up for a monthly subscription, you can unsubscribe after a month, or when the series ends.


Is “Ahsoka” on Netflix?

This series is made by Lucasfilm exclusively for Disney+, so it will not be available on Netflix, Max, or Amazon.
