This coming Fall, Disney is releasing a brand new drama series called “High Potential”, which has been created by Oscar-nominated writer Drew Goddard and based on the popular French series, “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI),” .

The crime procedural stars the incomparable Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, a single mom with an exceptional mind whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.

According to Variety, the showrunner, Rob Thomas has left the project and ABC is looking to find a replacement. Production has temporarily been halted on the show, as the show is currently in a pre-planned production hiatus. The series had been previously delayed from starting production due to last summer’s Hollywood strikes.

No details have been revealed about why Rob has left the role, but its been described as “amicable” and that he is still working on some other projects in development at ABC Signature.

Also starring in the series are Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Osman, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot and Judy Reyes as Selena.

“High Potential” is produced by ABC Signature. Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg executive produce for Goddard Textiles. Dan Etheridge of Spondoolie Productions is an executive producer, as well as Pierre Laugier and Anthony Lancret of Itinéraire Productions, a UGC company and Jean Nainchrik of Septembre Productions, a Mediawan Company. Alethea Jones is director and executive producer. Kaitlin Olson also serves as producer.

The new series is set to debut on ABC this fall on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. this fall, after “Dancing With the Stars.” These episodes will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. As with other originals, expect to see this released as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.
