“High Potential” Becomes ABC’s Best Drama Debut In Nearly Four Years
Recently, Disney released a brand new drama series called “High Potential”, which is based on the popular French series “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)”.
“High Potential” follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata).
Disney has revealed that the first episode was watched by 11.49 million viewers over the first three days across all platforms, which include ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms, ABC’s “High Potential” shot to 11.49 million Total Viewers and a 1.59 rating in Adults 18-49.
On linear, “High Potential” was the top program in its 10 p.m. time period and rose over the show’s final Live +Same Day audience by a hefty +43% in Total Viewers (5.13 million vs. 3.59 million) and +37% in Adults 18-49 (0.48 rating vs. 0.35 rating).
These ratings mean that the show is ABC’s top drama debut in nearly four years among adults and it has been the most popular show on Hulu’s top 15 list for the past three days.
The series stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot and Judy Reyes as Selena.
ABC Signature produces “High Potential.” Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg of Goddard Textiles and Todd Harthan serve as executive producers. Kaitlin Olson serves as producer.
New episodes of “High Potential” are released each Tuesday, with episodes becoming available to stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.
