“Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” Out Now On Disney+ & Hulu
Today, a brand new documentary called “Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds”, which is about the creation of the hit video game, “Death Stranding”, was released around the world.
In this documentary, viewers follow Hideo Kojima’s journey to create the game which changed the face of interactive storytelling and explore the inspiration and artistry of one of gaming’s true auteurs.
Directed by Glen Milner and produced by Ben Hilton for Filmworks, London, “Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” is a visually captivating documentary that gives a rare insight into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he launches his own independent studio and creates the groundbreaking game “Death Stranding”.
Glen Milner, Director at Filmworks said in a statement about the launch of the documentary:
“Our film is a celebration of Death Stranding and video games as an art-form. We really wanted to capture Kojima-san’s thought process and philosophy behind the game as much as anything. How cultural influences and life experiences play a key role in the themes of his work and his creative outlook, not only for Death Stranding, but also for his own studio.”
Featuring contributions from visionary artists such as George Miller, Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches and many others, this thoughtful film explores the power and potential of video games as an art form through the work of an influential talent revered by millions worldwide.
“Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” is out now on Disney+ in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Balkans EU (Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia), Non-EU (Albania, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia), UK, Ireland, Gibraltar. It is also available on Hotstar in South Africa and Philippines. In the United States, the documentary is available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.
