With just a few weeks until the release of the third season of the FX series, “The Bear”, some new details have been revealed on the episode names and descriptions, giving us a little hint at what’s to come.

Season three of FX’s “The Bear” follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they do what it takes to elevate The Bear, their beef stand turned fine dining establishment, to the highest level, all while doing their best just to stay in business. It’s a losing battle every single day in the restaurant business. Carmy pushes himself harder than ever, and demands excellence from his crew, who do their best to match his intensity.

Their quest for culinary excellence will propel the crew to new levels and stress the bonds that hold the restaurant together. As the team grows in size, each member will strive to reach a greater level of service within their role. In the restaurant industry, you’re never on solid ground, and with that ever-changing landscape comes new challenges and opportunities. Our chefs have learned that every second counts, but this season, we’ll find out if they have what it takes to make it to tomorrow.

Here are the episode titles and descriptions for the first season of “The Bear”:

  • Episode 1 (“Tomorrow”) – The next day and the days that led to it.
  • Episode 2 (“Next”) – Carmy sets a new standard.
  • Episode 3 (“Doors”) – The staff slogs through a month of service.
  • Episode 4 (“Violet”) – Sydney gets a new apartment. Marcus finds inspiration.
  • Episode 5 (“Children”) – The Computer gives The Bear its odds.
  • Episode 6 (“Napkins”) – Tina looks for a new opportunity.
  • Episode 7 (“Legacy”) – The restaurant is out of C-Folds. Sydney is presented with an opportunity.
  • Episode 8 (“Ice Chips”) – Sugar finds support in an unexpected place.
  • Episode 9 (“Apologies”) – Carmy thinks about apologizing.
  • Episode 10 (“Forever”) – Another funeral.

The half-hour series also stars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles.

FX’s “The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer, who acts as executive producer alongside Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson and Hiro Murai. Courtney Storer serves as a co-executive producer and culinary producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.

All ten episodes of the third season of FX’s “The Bear” will premiere on Thursday, 27th June 2024, on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.   The first two seasons are also available on these streaming services.

Roger’s Take: While the episode names and descriptions are still very vague, we can see how this new season sees the shift in general to running a new restaurant rather than the last season’s build-up to reopening.  There is also a tease of a death on the show, plus a possible storyline involving Sydney possibly leaving “The Bear”.
