While there has been lots of great news coming out of the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour from FX, unfortunately, it’s also been revealed that development on a new comedy by “Mad Men” creator, Matthew Weiner, has been halted.

There wasn’t much information about the project officially revealed, but the comedy series was described as having a mystery element and Charlie Kaufman-type odd and quirky comedic tone.

But during an interview with Deadline, Eric Schrier, President of FX Entertainment shared an update on the project:

“It is no longer in development. There is all this development that was tracking and that was on par before Covid. Some things continued on and some things fell apart as part of the last two years.”

Apparently, development on the series was cancelled a while ago and no talent was ever attached to it.
