FX Orders New Pilot “Movers”

Disney’s FX has picked up a brand-new pilot for a workplace comedy called “Movers”, which revolves around the erratic and codependent lives of a crew of movers.

The pilot is being created and executive-produced by Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim.   Robert previously created the comedy “Reno 911!”, which also starred Cathy Shim.  Other executive producers include Stacey Sher and Peter Principato, with Jonny Shipes.

20th Television will be producing the pilot, which will star Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim.  Also starring in the pilot will be Maz Jobrani (Friday After Next), Darius Homayoun (Sex/Life), Tanael “TJ” Joachim, Manny Montana (Ironheart) and  Rebecca Quin, who is known as WWE’s current Women’s Intercontinental champion Becky Lynch.

As with other pilots, should it be picked up for a full series, we can expect to see it released on the FX linear channel, as well as on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, in the United States, and on Disney+ internationally.  Also, with pilots, there could be some creative changes during the process, so things could change if it gets the go-ahead.  No other details on this new pilot have been revealed.
