Disney has announced that from today, four additional 3D films from Marvel Studios have been added to Disney+ for Apple Vision Pro users.

The four additional 3D movies available to Disney+ subscribers include “Avengers,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man* and “Ant-Man and the Wasp.”

Avengers

S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury is compelled to launch the Avengers programme when Loki poses a threat to planet Earth. But the superheroes must learn to work together if they are to stop him in time.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Tony Stark builds an artificial intelligence system named Ultron with the help of Bruce Banner. When the sentient Ultron makes plans to wipe out the human race, the Avengers set out to stop him.

Ant-Man

Scott, a master thief, gains the ability to shrink in scale with the help of a futuristic suit. Now he must rise to the occasion of his superhero status and protect his secret from unsavoury elements.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Despite being under house arrest, Scott Lang, along with the Wasp, sets out to help Dr Hank Pym to enter the quantum realm as they face new enemies along the way.

This is the latest Disney+ addition to the Apple Vision Pro version, following the introduction of an exclusive “What If?” experience and also a new National Geographic experience being made available.  Earlier this year, Disney made over a dozen 3D versions of popular films, including “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Avengers: Endgame”, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, “Elemental”, and “Encanto”, available on the Apple Vision Pro via Disney+.

Roger’s Take:  For Disney+ subscribers with an Apple Vision Pro, being able to watch these films in 3D will be a nice bonus and a good reason to rewatch them again.  However, with the price of the Apple Vision Pro, I do wonder how many people will actually get to experience this, it feels like more of an expensive tech demo, but maybe in the future, these devices will become more common, and this early development will help create better experiences in years to come.

Will you be checking out either of the “Avengers” movies in 3D on the Apple Vision Pro?  Let me know on social media!
