Just ahead of the return of the popular long-running series, “Grey’s Anatomy”, it’s been revealed that Floriana Lima has joined the cast in a recurring role.

The high-intensity medical drama follows a team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial who are faced with life-or death decisions on a daily basis. They seek comfort from one another, and, at times, more than just friendship. Together they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.

In the new season, Floriana will be playing the role of Nora, who is a childhood friend of Owen, who is played by Kevin McKidd and Megan Hunt’s, played by Abigail Spencer, who comes to Grey Sloan when a routine operation at another hospital results in dangerous complications.

According to THR, Nora is described as a devoted mother and recent divorcee who is determined to do whatever it takes to survive so that she can be there for her children and experience the next chapter of her life.

Floriana Lima has previously starred in the ABC drama series, “A Million Little Things” and the Marvel/Netflix series, “The Punisher”. 

Floriana is going to be making her debut in “Grey’s Anatomy” in the second episode of the 21st season, which will air on ABC on October 3rd 2024.  “Grey’s Anatomy” returns on September 26th 2024, at 10pm on ABC, and it will be available the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.

The previous seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” are available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.  The show is also available on Disney+ around the world.  No Disney+ release date has been announced for the new season.
