Disney has announced that the 20th Century Studios film, “Flicka”, will return to Disney+ in the United States on Friday 6th October 2023.   The film was removed from Disney+ in July 2022 and was available on Starz, due to a pre-existing deal made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox.

The film tells the story of Sixteen-year-old Katy McLaughlin, who is a strong-willed teenager who hopes to one day take over her father’s ranch. But when Katy finds a wild mustang who she names Flicka, she embarks on a journey to tame the wild horse, keep her family together, and find her true path in life.

“Flicka” stars Alison Lohman, Tim McGraw, Maria Bello, Ryan Kwanten, Danny Pino, and Dallas Roberts. It was directed by Michael Mayer.
