Later this month, Disney is releasing the first stand-up comedy special called ” Jim Gaffigan: The Skinny” for its new Hularious brand, which will see Disney release twelve comedy specials per year, adding one new comic per month to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.

Other comedians signed up to deliver these new monthly one-hour comedy specials, including Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Jim Gaffigan, Ilana Glazer, Andrew Santino, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Atsuko Okatsuka and Roy Wood Jr.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Hulu will additionally launch a curated collection of licensed stand-up specials ranging from iconic comedy specials to recent releases from 800 Pound Gorilla and Comedy Dynamics, among others.

Roger’s Take:  This new “Hularious” comedy stand-up lineup looks interesting, as it is a completely different type of show for Disney+ and Hulu, which I hope is a success, since I’m a fan of standup comedy and the more opportunities to see new comics and have a proper laugh, is always a good thing.
