This week, Disney released the season finale of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, which is an animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

The talented voice cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox. The head writer is Jeff Trammell and Mel Zwyer is the supervising director. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt and Trammell serve as executive producers.

The creator of the show, Jeff Trammell, took to social media today and released some artwork for the upcoming second season, giving us a first look at Gwen Stacy, who is also known as Ghost-Spider/Spider-Gwen.

In the comics, Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider and gained spider-like powers. Influenced by her father’s moral code, Gwen uses her powers to help those in need like her friend, Peter Parker. Since “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is in its own multiverse, they will probably make some changes to her origin story.

The first season of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is out now on Disney+ and it has already been commissioned for two more seasons.
