“Finding Michael” Is Out Now On Disney+ (UK/Ireland/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)
Last Friday, the documentary, “Finding Michael,” was advertised to arrive on Disney+. However, due to some unknown reason, the film wasn’t released as scheduled, which led to lots of confusion among Disney+ subscribers, especially as the documentary host, Spencer Mathews, was still making public appearances on television shows like “This Morning” promoting the new Disney+ Original.
This led to Disney putting out a statement on social media on Saturday saying:
We’re sorry that the debut date for Finding Michael has shifted on Disney+. We will let you know as soon as we have new timings for its launch. This will be in the near future. Thanks for your patience\
The good news, is that after a short delay, “Finding Michael” is now available to stream on Disney+ in many countries around the world, including the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Though it hasn’t been released on Disney+ in the United States, as previously planned.
This new documentary is about Michael Matthews, who in 1999, became the youngest Briton to summit Mount Everest. But three hours after he summited, he disappeared and was never found. Twenty-three years later, his brother, entrepreneur and broadcaster Spencer Matthews, sets out on a journey to find him. Teaming up with 14 peak record holder Nims Purja, the recovery team faces extreme challenges as the weather closes in.
Will you be checking out “Finding Michael” on Disney+ today?
