With 2023 almost upon us, I wanted to take a look forward to highlighting some of the new Pixar content heading to our screens in 2023, which includes the first-ever Pixar series.

Here’s the rundown:

Note: This list is subject to change

Elemental

Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-,water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. Directed by Peter Sohn (“The Good Dinosaur,” “Partly Cloudy” short), produced by Denise Ream (“The Good Dinosaur,” “Cars 2”), and featuring the voices of Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively,

“Elemental” is coming to cinemas on June 16th 2023, and will be coming to Disney+ later in the year.

Win Or Lose

This is Pixar’s first-ever long-form series and follows the Pickles, a co-ed middle school softball team, in the week leading up to their championship game. Each episode takes place that same week, highlighting the perspective of a different main character—players, their parents, the umpire—each reflected in a unique visual style. The series is directed by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates.  It will also star Will Forte as Coach Dan.

“Win Or Lose” is coming to Disney+ in Fall 2023

Dug Days: Carl’s Date

Pixar Animation Studios’ “Dug Days” is a series of shorts that follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar’s “Up.” Each short features everyday events that occur in Dug’s backyard, all through the exciting (and slightly distorted) eyes of our favorite talking dog.

This brand-new short will be coming to Disney+ during 2023

And this is likely not to be the only content from Pixar heading to Disney+ in 2023, as hopefully, we will also see some additional content, such as a behind-the-scenes documentary on “Elementary” and some new Sparkshorts.

What are you looking forward to watching on Disney+ in 2023 from Pixar?
