New details have been revealed about an upcoming comedy pilot called “Downforce”, which tells the story of Victoria, the estranged daughter of a storied racing team’s owner, Sir Trevor, who is thrust back into the family business, leaving the pair to find common ground or risk destroying the team’s legacy.

According to Deadline, this upcoming pilot is going to star Eve Hewson and Murray Bartlett, which is being created by ABC Signature Studios.

Eve Hewson will play the role of Victora, who is a shrewd and ruthless investment banker who finds her way back into the front office. She knows business, he knows racing, and together they have to figure out the business of racing after years apart.   Eve has previously starred in “The Perfect Couple” and “Bad Sisters”.

While Murray Bartlett will be playing the role of Sir Trevor, who is described as the team’s “larger-than-life founder and owner.”   Murray has previously starred in “The White Lotus”, “The Last Of Us”, and “Welcome To Chippendales”.

The pilot is going to be directed by Alec Berg, who will be an executive producer, along with Adam Countee, who both have overall deals with ABC Signature Studios.   Other producers include Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey for Temple Hill, Daniel Ricciardo, Amy Solomon and Lionsgate.

Should the pilot get the go-ahead, this series will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
