Filming is currently underway on a brand new Marvel Studios series, “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, which is a followup to the hit Disney+ show, “WandaVision” and will see Kathryn Hahn returning as the evil witch, Agatha Harkness.

The new Disney+ series will also star Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Maria Dizzia. Also returning for “Agatha: Coven of Chaos,” is Debra Jo Rupp and Emma Caufield, returning to the roles that they played in the “WandaVision” Disney+ series. Other actors returning from “WandaVision” include David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes.

During a recent interview with Deadline at SXSW to promote the new HBO Max limited David E. Kelly series “Love & Death”, Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was asked by Deadline if she is going to be returning for “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, where she replied:

”I don’t know ever how to answer these questions, except I don’t… I think I’ll be back…”

Her comments are a little muddled, where depending on how you hear her words.  Either saying she doesn’t answer these questions and thinks she will be back, or I don’t think I’ll be back?  It’s not too clear.  What do you think?  Personally, I think she was trying to dodge the question, but it could go either way!

The last time we saw Wanda Maximoff in action was in “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness”, and it was teased that she was crushed in the rumble of the Wundagore Castle, but of course, we never saw the body, so it doesn’t mean she’s actually dead.

It’s also been rumoured that Wanda will also be returning in another “WandaVision” spin-off series, “Vision Quest”.

“Agatha: Coven of Chaos” was written by Megan McDonnell, Peter Cameron, Laura Donney, and Cameron Squires. “WandaVision” creator and exec producer Jac Schaeffer is also returning as the showrunner on Disney+ original series and will also be stepping up and will direct some of the episodes. Also directing the new Disney+ series will be Gandja Monteiro, who has previously directed some of the mega smash-hit Netflix series, “Wednesday”, and Rachel Goldberg, who has previously directed on Netflix’s “Resident Evil” series.

At the San Diego Comic-Con Marvel Studios panel, the show was announced to be arriving on Disney+ in late 2023/early 2024.  However, with the recent shift in how many Marvel Studios Disney+ series are going to be released each year and with filming recently starting, it’s unlikely we will see the show in 2023, and it might be pushed back a whole year into 2025.

Are you looking forward to watching “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” arriving on Disney+?
