Disney held a special red carpet event at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles last night for the US premiere of the new Pixar film, “Elemental”, which was attended by the stars and filmmakers.

“Elemental” is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember (voice of Leah Lewis), a fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun and sappy guy named Wade (voice of Mamoudou Athie) challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Attendees included members of the voice cast—Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ronnie del Carmen and Mason Wertheimer—and filmmakers Peter Sohn (director), Denise Ream (producer), Pete Docter (EP), John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh (screenplay by), and Lauv (performer/co-writer “Steal the Show”). Also attending were Bob Peterson (director), Kim Collins (producer) and Andrea Datzman (composer)—the filmmakers behind the short “Carl’s Date,” which opens in theatres in front of “Elemental.”

“Elemental” arrives in cinemas in the United States on June 16th 2023, and will be coming to Disney+ at a later date.
