Disney has released two new teaser posters for the upcoming Japanese Original series, “Dragons of Wonderhatch”, and confirmed that the new series will debut globally on Disney+ on December 20th 2023.

The upcoming new series depicts two worlds: the real world we live in, which is depicted in live action, and the other world where dragons live, which is shown in animation. The main characters are Nagi, a fantasy-loving high school girl who lives in the real world of Yokosuka, played by Sena Nakajima, and Time, a boy who rides a dragon and lives in an alternate world called Upananta, where dragons live, played by Daikane Okudaira.

Nagi has a special ability that allows him to see colours when he hears sounds, which causes him to feel that he doesn’t fit in with his surroundings, and from a certain point on, he has been troubled by repeated “daydreams of flying in the sky”. On the other hand, in Oupananta, the other world where Time, the other main character, lives, a strange phenomenon is occurring in which many floating islands are falling into the sky, and the Akuta Sky Group, led by the hero Akuta played by Mackenyu Nitta, is trying to prevent the world from collapsing. He was saving people from danger.

Time admires such actors and joins the Sky Team, but as a dragon rider, he is unable to listen to the most important “voices of the dragons” and is treated as a “dropout”, making him feel uncomfortable. One day, the two worlds intersect, and Nagi meets Time, who came from another world. When two similar people who find it difficult to live because they are a little different from those around them meet in different places, an epic story that revolves around the two worlds begins.
