Over the weekend, Russell T Davies, who is the showrunner of the upcoming fourteenth season of “Doctor Who”, has confirmed on social media that they have now wrapped filming.

The new series of “Doctor Who”, will star Ncuti Gatwa, who will be playing the Fifteenth Doctor in the new series, which is returning in November 2023 with three special episodes with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary. Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will then air over the festive period.

Russell’s social media post featured a photo of himself, along with some of the crew from the show, in front of the TARDIS, along with the caption, “That’s a wrap”.

The show has been filmed in many locations across the United Kingdom, including Swansea, Bristol, Newport and Cardiff. While filming has wrapped, the new season won’t arrive on our screens until 2024, since there will be lots of post-production, such as adding special effects, that will need to be done.

The new season will star Millie Gibson as Ruby, who will be the Doctor’s companion, and it will also star Lenny Rush, Bonnie Langford, Indira Varma, Jonathan Groff, Jinkx Monsoon, Jemma Redgrave, Aneurin Barnard, Anita Dobson and Michelle Greenidge.

“Doctor Who” will premiere exclusively on the BBC for the UK and Ireland, while Disney+ will be the exclusive home for new seasons of “Doctor Who” outside of the UK and Ireland.
