During this evening’s three-hour extravaganza “Children In Need”, which sees the BBC help raise life-changing funds for children and young people across the UK, the fifteenth Doctor himself – Ncuti Gatwa – introduced a world-exclusive preview of the upcoming “Doctor Who” Christmas Special.

The upcoming holiday special is called “Joy To The World,” and we will see “Bridgerton” star Nicola Coughlan join the Doctor on an adventure through time and space, which also involves a giant dinosaur!

Check out the preview video below:

Fans also had the chance to bid for Jodie Whittaker’s TARDIS, which was used on set in the 2022 Festive Special Eve of the Daleks and one night only to bid for the waitress’s costume worn by Kylie Minogue when she played Astrid Peth in Voyage of the Damned in 2007.

“Doctor Who” is produced by Bad Wolf, with BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television and BBC. Under the creative vision of Davies, the additional executive producers include Phil Collinson, Joel Collins, Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter.

The upcoming Christmas special will be released on Christmas Day on the BBC and iPlayer in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as on Disney+ around the world.   The first season, along with last year’s Christmas and 60th-anniversary specials, is also available to stream on iPlayer in the UK and on Disney+ around the world.
