Filming is currently underway on the new Disney+ Marvel series, WandaVision, and according to Murphy’s Multiverse, Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be making an appearance in the series as he is rumored to be scheduled be on set for the last week of filming.

Elizabeth Olsen will return as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany will reprise his role as The Vision in the new Marvel Studios series about two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
The new WandaVison series is due to lead directly into the Doctor Strange sequel, called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will star also star Elizabeth Olsen. So an appearance by Benedict Cumberbatch would allow the story to interlock with the movie and recently it was rumoured that the Doctor Strange villain, Nightmare, was also going to appear in WandaVision, so it would make sense for plenty of cross appearances.

An appearance by Doctor Strange in WandaVision would also set the Disney+ series apart from the previous Marvel TV series, which have generally been disconnected from the movies.

WandaVision is due to arrive on Disney+ in Spring 2021, just ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, hitting cinemas on May 7th 2021.
