Last month during the Walt Disney Companies Quarterly Investors Call, Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced that Disney would be hosting another Investors Day event in the coming months.

Details of the event were revealed by LiveStorm, which is the streaming platform that will be hosting the event.

Today, that event has been revealed to be taking place on Wednesday, October 7th 2020 – 10:00 AM (AST) /  3:00 PM (BST).

UPDATE – The Walt Disney Company hasn’t yet officially announced this date/time.  I’ve been contacted by a Disney representative who states this date/time is incorrect.

At last years Investors Day event, which was held in April, Disney unveiled lots of details on its new streaming service, Disney+, including its price, its subscriber projections, global rollout plans, initial launch date and details about forthcoming Disney+ Originals.

So far, we’ve been told that Disney will be revealing details on its upcoming streaming platform, Star, which will be the international version of Hulu, but it will be different, featuring just library content from its own brands such as 20th Century Studios, ABC, Searchlight etc.  And that it will be building upon the success of Disney+.

It’s also expected that we will learn more about the success of the Disney+ Premier Access release of Mulan and have updates on many of the Disney+ Originals that will be coming in the year ahead, including movies and shows from its major brands.

So it’s very likely we will learn more about the new Marvel shows such as WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, along with others like Loki, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel and more.    In addition to learning more about shows like Lizzy McGuire, Mighty Ducks, Turner & Hooch and much more.  Plus it’ll be taking place just weeks before the return of the biggest Disney+ Original, Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

This event is primarily aimed at investors and stockholders, so generally is more business-focused, but I expect we will hear of lots of interesting news regarding its Direct To Consumer business, including Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ and its new platform, Star.

What are you hoping will be revealed during the next Investors Day event?
