Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the week of 20th December through to 26th December 2021 for the United States. There are four different charts, Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies and a combined total chart.

With this week’s data covering Christmas, Disney+ dominated the movie streaming chart, with “Home Alone” and “The Santa Clause” films.  “Elf” was also a huge hit for Hulu, topping the charts.   Disney’s “Encanto” also debuted late in the week and made it onto the streaming chart, which will no doubt jump higher in the chart next week, when people will stop watching Christmas films.

Marvel’s “Hawkeye” also continues to be a huge success for Disney+, as it was the third most popular original series of the week.  The hype surrounding the return of Daredevil and Kingpin to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Bluey” also made an impact on the acquired series, showcasing the love for this Australian animated series for the fourth straight week.

Disney’s ABC shows “Criminal Minds”, and “Grey’s Anatomy” continue to pull in viewers on Netflix. These shows are available on Disney+ internationally.
