The 76th Emmy Awards took place in at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday evening and Disney had a very successful night, pulling in 60 wins across all of its different studios, brands and platforms including ABC, Disney Branded Television, Disney+, Disney Television Studios (20th Television, 20th Television Animation, and ABC Signature), FX, FX Productions, Hulu, National Geographic, and The Walt Disney Studios (20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd., and Marvel Studios).

FX was the most successful studio for Disney, pulling in 36 awards, with “Shōgun” picking up 19 awards, which has set a new record for any series in a single year. While “The Bear” also won 11 awards.

Anna Sawai is the first actor of Asian descent to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Lady Mariko in “Shōgun”. Liza Colón-Zayas is the first Latina to win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Tina Marrero in “The Bear”.

Disney Branded Television’s “Jim Henson Idea Man” is the most-winning documentary of the year, securing five awards including Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Program.

There was also wins for “Quiz Lady”, “The Beach Boys”, “Ahsoka” and “What If…? An Immersive Story”.
