Disney has announced it will be holding some special mid-season screening events at movie theatres across the globe for the fifth episode of the Disney+ Original series, “Ahsoka”.

On September 12th, at 5 p.m. PST, fans in 10 cities across the United States — including Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Seattle, Boston, and Orlando — will get the opportunity to see episode 5 of Ahsoka ahead of its premiere on Disney+ at selected AMC theaters. Screenings will also be held in three international cities: London, UK; Bangkok, Thailand; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Limited seating. Subject to availability.

This will be the first time Disney has held screening events during the middle of a Disney+ series, and it is no doubt down to the current actor’s strike causing promotional issues, forcing Disney to come up with unique ways to promote the series.

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. In this new episode, Ahsoka must confront her former Master, Anakin Skywalker.

“Ahsoka” stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and Eman Esfandi. The episodes are directed by Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa. Dave Filoni is the head writer and executive produces along with Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer.
