Disney Television Animation Hires Zack Olin

Disney Television Animation is continuing to build out its team to create new content for Disney+ and the Disney Channel, as it has revealed they have taken on Zack Olin as senior vice president of Development and Current Series.

Zack Olin will oversee development and current series, where he will help guide creative strategy and series execution for kids and families on Disney+.

Prior to working at Disney, he worked at Nickelodeon and Awesomeness, where he helped create School Spirits, XO, Kitty, and Monster High: The Movie. He also previously worked at FOX and ABC.

He will report to Disney Television Animation executive vp Meredith Roberts, who said in a statement regarding the hiring:

“Zack brings an exceptional creative sensibility and a deep understanding of how great stories are told and sustained over time. He has a strong track record of shaping bold storytelling, supporting creators and driving creative excellence, and he will be a key partner as we continue to deliver beloved animated series and movies for audiences around the world, now and for generations to come.”

Zack Olin added:

“I’ve always been drawn to animation because of its scale, its heart, and the way it stays with audiences over time. Getting to do that at Disney Television Animation and Disney Branded Television alongside Meredith, Ayo Davis, and some of the most extraordinary creators and animators in the industry is the kind of opportunity you work toward over a career.”
